I’ve been making lots of mistakes recently: today’s image is one of them. Somehow I knocked the mode dial from Aperature Priority to Shutter Priority and set a 1/60 second shutter speed. This image should be a reject, along with several others, but for some reason I like it.
Australian Wood Duck (female) (Chenonetta jubata)
Since then something strange has happened which is causing images to be noisy, grainy, regardless of the ISO. Also, I’m in the process of learning what post-processing I should be doing to make the images look their best. All this means that I’ve been trying to solve problems and studying when I should have been working on this post. Hopefully I’ll post extra photos next week to make up for a short week this week.
Happy birding, Kim
We all make mistakes Kim, I have bumped my dial to shutter priority too and messed up what might have been wonderful images. Live and learn! I love the look you are getting from the Wood Duck.
I can’t imagine the wonderful images you’d have missed 🙁
