NEWS FLASH! Endangered Blue-billed Ducks are raising a duckling at Lake Knox. I photographed the little family this week, the duckling is a seriously cute little miracle.
This wonder is especially awesome as Blue-billed Ducks are only known to breed at twenty-five sites in Victoria. The arrival of the duckling may help locals who have been fighting to save Lake Knox. They have a petition running with over 14,000 signatures, if you have a few moments please add your name here: Save Lake Knox
I’ve been on a photography trip this week and hope to have some beaut shots to share soon. Lightroom hasn’t been running for me so I’m not sure what I’ve been able to capture but the process has been wonderful.
Happy birding, Kim

Wow that is the most wonderful news and boy what a blue bill. Almost looked like it has been painted. Congratulations to the Lake Knox community and let’s hope this very unique little Blue-Billed Duck will ensure Lake Knox and all its wildlife survive and prosper. Sending petition to all my fellow bird lovers. Together we can make it happen.
It is very exciting! Thanks heaps for passing the petition to kindred spirits Barbara, I really appreciate that, Kim
