I was out and about with my camera today and completely forgot it was Friday.
Cape Barren Goose
1/1600, f/7.1, ISO 400
As I was photographing this young goose I was imagining posting images alongside one of the adults so that I could point out the differences but it has just become Saturday and I must post something quickly before heading to sleep.
This young goose looks so sweet compared to the adults; this bird’s eyes are brown rather than red and its cere hasn’t yet become bright lime-green. I like the way it looks as though it is sitting on a big comfy cushion. The colours in the background are distant rocks and the ocean.
Happy birding and wishing you all a healthy, happy, fulfilling and awesome 2019
Kim

Hi Kim,
I wish you a happy New Year with many discoveries and many birds.
This goose is really very pretty, I can’t wait to see them, I hope!
Hugs
Hi Nath, you’ll definitely see them if you go to Phillip Island 🙂
You are so right about that comfy cushion.
I hope that 2019 is healthy, happy and bird-filled for you. And should say how grateful I am for the beauty (and sometimes the tragedy) that you share.
Thank you EC. Wishing you the very best and waiting with interest to hear about those star benches
