Winter Mystery Quiz 22

It’s time for the annual winter mystery quiz – not as tricky as in previous years, I think! The first one is super easy but a such a fascinating study.

Mystery 1
Mystery 2

Mystery 3

Mystery 4
Mystery 5
Mystery 6
Mystery 7
Mystery 8
Mystery 9
Mystery 10

Some newbies and a couple of favourites from earlier times. As usual I won’t share your thoughts until the reveal next week and, as usual, even getting one correct is pretty good!

Happy birding and good luck, Kim

    Here are my guesses, Kim.
Such great photos and fun trying to work out the birds. Have been back and forth in the ABG for ages, especially for #7 (which I still don’t know)
    1 Peacock
    2 Spotted Dove
    3 Purple Swamphen
    4 New Holland Honeyeater
    5 Superb Fairywren
6 Barn Owl (or Masked Owl)
7 No idea. I feel it should be a larger bird. Thinking it might be a Black-necked Stork, but the eye shape is confusing.
    8 Australian White Ibis
    9 Yellow-billed Spoonbill
    10 Yellow-tufted Honeyeater (Helmeted ssp)
    Cheers!
